The Exhibit
“Pinsker takes on some time-honored subjects. Her work demonstrates that it is possible to transcend abstract/figurative polarity and to derive superior expressive power from that very transcendence. Her choices show her ambition to be at the highest level of art-historical conciousness. She courageously casts her hat into the ring, to compete and contend with the great art of the past.”
James Mann
Curator, Las Vegas Art Museum

The Sculptor
“My life in art is about dialogues with stones and steel. This fires my creative juices. In my work, I am drawn to strong materials, swelling masses, deep voids. I find the majesty of stone inspiring, the power of steel riveting and the beauty of bronze enduring. Abstract in concept, I search for essential essences, be they figurative or non-representational, forms that bear resemblances to the world around me.”

The Museum
The Las Vegas Art Museum, founded in 1950, is Nevada's oldest and largest art museum. In 1997, it moved into the Sahara West Library & Fine Arts Museum, a spectacular new building designed by Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle of Minneapolis. The library/museum complex is a state-of-the-art facility containing 30,000 square feet of exhibition space.
